I knew that I was passionate about photography when I entered my tenth-grade summer and went to photography camp on the University of Virginia campus. I can remember being given an SLR camera a roll of film and told to go and explore the University of Virginia corner. My first images were of street signs and people watching. I was able to see my hometown in a different light, and little did I know it would be a light that would spark my passion.
